Now that I’ve taken care of my car ordeal (well, at least for the moment) and actually have time to spend here on the weekends, I’ve started to do some volunteer work. It is insanely rewarding and I am meeting some really interesting people.

Volunteering with ACRe, a non-profit dedicated to sustainable urban living. We distributed food as a member of the loose-knit Food Not Bombs network.
Total expenses for September 4 - 15: $1,233.25
Includes all payments related to the gas tank fiasco ($411.00).
Other expenses: $822.25
Includes plane tickets to PA and Oregon.
Total without plane tickets: $406.45
One time purchases (mainly travel gear): $150.96
Food / entertainment total for these 12 days: $110.63
Food / drink / entertainment cost per day: $9.22

I’m skeptical of the claim that Farmers’ Markets are more expensive overall.
It’s not going so well. The car troubles are never ending. I really really really hope it gets fixed tomorrow. In 3 weeks I should be out of the debt, and more into the savings.
