I moved to costa rica two months ago, and now I see how horrible this country is. I had visited before, but actually living here is so different.
Food, gas, and everithing else are so expensive, I was planning on staying here for a few years but I dont think is possible.
I had great expectations but now I am just looking for a way out.

Im costarican, and I wanted to say… its sad but Costa Rica really sucks… “Mi pais es una mierda” and thanks to the stupid people we will fucked up in the next years cause the shitty ideas from government. Perdon ticos.. pero el futbol los tiene estupidisados!

You’re right… no cooking gear. I pick up food along the way… tuna, peanut butter, trail mix, Burger King, whatever. I couldn’t imagine cooking after a day of riding… seems like too much work :)

I’m planning on the Southern Tier tour this spring (W-E). I saw your pack list – thanks for putting that online. I was wondering however about your meal plan. According to the list there is no food. Is that intentional? Did you not pack any cooking gear?
